Go Ape
Go Ape is an award winning high wire forest adventure in Grizedale forest. From Rosemount either take the car ferry across the lake or head up round the top of the lake through Amble side & Hawksead, either way the journey will take approx 30 minutes. Climb the trees, slide across high wires, crawl through tunnels, cross rope bridges and zip down to the ground!
Via Ferrata
At Honister Slate Mine high up in the Borrowdale valley the Via Ferrata lets you experience the mountains in a novel way. It’s about an hours drive from Rosemount, but through some of the most spectacular scenery, so the journey itself is as much part of the aventure. Meaning “iron road” in Italian, Via Ferrata allows walkers to traverse steep terrain safely. Secured to a fixed cable, you follow a Victorian miners route along the craggy face of Fleet with Pike, to the 648m summit where you will see the most amazing views of Buttermere, Crummock Water and Skiddaw mountain range.
