  • We had a lovely 4 poster bed and the bathrooms have been renovated with modern fittings which I loved.

We had a lovely 4 poster bed and the bathrooms have been renovated with modern fittings which I loved. Andrew couldn't have been more helpful, with suggestions of deli's, eating spots, etc. The wifi was free and had great signal, plus he overly accommodated us when stayed well past our check out time to finish some future travel bookings for our round the world trip. Breakfast was great and there was parking for our hire car. We honestly had a wonderful stay and would go back in a flash!

  • The four poster was well appointed with an excellent, newly fitted bathroom and two comfy leather chairs looking out through the bay window to the trees.

Rosemount is a beautiful guesthouse within easy distance of Windermere and Bowness. We stayed in room 4 with the four poster - worth asking for. The room was well appointed with an excellent, newly fitted bathroom and two comfy leather chairs looking out through the bay window to the trees, which made a very nice place to unwind after a days walking. Breakfast was excellent and the owners very helpful. They chilled our bottle of champagne and even provided champagne flutes without being prompted.

  • Perfectly situated for both Windermere and Bowness, easy walking in either direction.

Perfectly situated for both Windermere and Bowness, easy walking in either direction. Great location for accessing all of the Lake District. The four poster room was lovely, spacious and catered for our every need. All the important touches were there, such as hooks for wet clothing, plenty of sockets, good mirrors and was spotlessly clean. Comfy bed with extra blanket if required.Breakfast was just right, cooked to perfection and would definitely recommend to family and friends, in fact, we already have.

  • Warm and Very Comfortable...

The bedroom was warm & very comfortable & homely. The hosts were warm & helpful & the location was wonderful. Covered in snow, the area was a winter wonderland! The traditional English breakfast was sumptuous!

  • We were impressed by the helpfulness of the owners when it came to ‘where to visit’ and ‘what to do’ during our stay.

We were impressed by the welcome and friendliness of the owners who made us feel very much at home, bearing in mind we’d never met them before. Also, the helpfulness of the owners when it came to ‘where to visit’ and ‘what to do’ during our stay. Finally, the cooked breakfasts were first class!

  • I'm not used to guest houses, but I imagine this is one of the best...

I'm not used to guest houses, but I imagine this is one of the best. The couple who run it are really friendly with lots of advice for things to do/see in the area; the room was fine, nice big bed and clean bathroom; and cracking full english breakfast (this from a fussy eater)
