Walking in a Windermere Winter Wonderland
By Louise Jones, 22 December 2010 –
We fancied getting away from all of our Christmas preparations & plans for the New Year refurbishment and took a stroll down from Rosemount up to Post Knott. We thought we'd try out one of the walks from our new "South Lakeland Walks with the Pushchair" book, so armed with mince pies & mulled wine we set off from the house and walked up Helm Road past the Angel Inn. We couldn't possibly go past the pastie shop without buying one to add to our winter picnic!
Biskey Howe viewing point was looking as beautiful as ever, with gorgeous views up and down Lake Windermere. Just a short, sharp push up Post Knott and what a view...! Highly recommended and a cracking spot in which to enjoy a coffee.
As for the pushchair, well Annabel thought it was fabulous, but I think next time we'll be picking something slightly less ambitious...!
