After all our hard work we're delighted that Rosemount Guest House has been recognised by The Guardian as one of the 10 best places to stay in the Lake District.
As featured in their Lake District and Cumbria Holiday Guide, Rosemount is described as one of the best places to stay alongside other well known local businesses such as The Angel Inn, The Masons Arms and The Apple Pie Rooms.

We would like to introduce you to Emilia Frances Jones who was born on the 30th September 2011 at 1:53am weighing in at 8lb 7oz. Both Emilia and Louise are doing well and are safely back at Rosemount. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our guests for their understanding and co-operation over the past week. Hopefully we will see you all again on another occasion and be able to spend more time with you. Things are now getting back to relative normality and Rosemount is back to its smooth running self, so all 4 of us look forward to extending a warm welcome to you!

We've been open for 3 weeks now and everything's going really well, we've had some lovely feedback and our guests are loving the new en suites, particularly the fabulously deep Villeroy & Boch baths.
The weather's been gorgeous and the lakes are looking stunning, Bowness has had a lovely summery atmosphere with everyone making the most of the sun.
On departure lots of our guests look like they've had a weekend in the med not Windermere!
If you fancy getting away from it all, we still have some late availability for May bank holiday, click on "book online" to check prices & availability.

After 7 weeks of stripping, plastering, papering and tiling, tiling, and yet more tiling, Rosemount Guest House is almost ready to emerge as a beautiful butterfly. As family run bed & breakfasts go, we think it's going to probably be one of the best!
We've been blessed with good weather and great team of people working with us and we're on track to re-open in the 3rd week of March.
All the double rooms and public areas have been completely refurbished...Villeroy & Boch bathrooms to die for, stunning archive print walllpapers from Cole & Son, soft Farrow & Ball paint colours, luxurious natural fabrics...we are so excited to share it with you!
Our hope is that the end result is authentic & yet contemporary, stylish and yet inviting, but also tat it keeps it's warm & friendly feel that so many people have commented on over the last 2 years.
All photography on this website will be updated in March and we'll be re-launching with some exciting new offers. Please sign up for our newsletter if you'd like more details.
We can't wait to see you at the new & improved Rosemount Guest House, Windermere!

Immediately after the New Year we closed ready for our exciting new refurbishment project.
We've been encouraged by our guest feedback to date and their enthusiasm for our home & business, Rosemount Guest House.
In the last 2 and a half years we've listened to what our guests have said and when the opportunity arose to do further work on Rosemount Guest House, we had a really good idea of how we wanted to transform the interior. It will retain all of it's warm & friendly feel, and we will build on the period features of the property with some contemporary twists, to give you your ideal place to stay in the English Lake District.
The first workmen arrived on site yesterday and the work has officially begun. Watch this space to see pictures of the new and improved Rosemount Guest House - and probably a few funny ones of us along the way too!
We will be re-open in March & are here in the meantime, so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you are looking for accommodation from March 2011 onwards.
